Broadway Newsletter
Under the auspices of the Broadway Communications Group, Broadway has
recently launched its very own village-wide newsletter. The aim of the newsletter is to
provide a "one-stop-shop" for residents, traders and villagers to find out more
about what's happening in the village: news, events, and general newsletter-type
happenings.
Please NOTE: Since November 2007 we have not had any public monies in.
Our newsletter is completely funded by ads, whether
from businesses or local clubs and this pays for print costs. It is written,
edited, and designed by volunteers. It is printed locally and delivered by
over 40 volunteers without whom we could not do this. We have a small
reserve but financially we must be careful.
i t's
a bit on a knife edge!
What can we include? Events coming up go into the back page
(What's On). These are also listed at the calendar on this website. That
leaves 3 pages for everything else- not a lot of space. We consider news
anything that 'has' happened. If you require more space for 'advance
notice' of something that is going to take place you can consider an ad. We have
had small ads for the village panto and revised Anglican Church services as well
as for businesses. When we start to get enough material and enough
requests for ads to warrant further pages we'll see what we can do.
We must include a phone number with any event. We do not include tickets
prices in the What's on, as that would constitute advertising. Please note
this comes out every other month so do send us the events wells in
advance.
Warning: these may be big downloads because of the
embedded pictures. Choose "high resolution" only if you have a fast connection
or time on your hands!
