And opening soon, the Gordon Russell Museum, Russel lSquare.

Because of its location at the foot of a steep hill (Fish Hill - actually the "rise" of the Cotswolds escarpment), Broadway was once blessed with many hostels, pubs and coaching houses. And we mean "many": the village was crawling with some 40 separate establishments at its peak as a stop-off, with passing travellers from Worcester to London routinely grabbing a drink, a night's rest and additional horses before the steep climb.

Thankfully, times have changed, and we now have a rather more manageable selection of pubs and eating places in the village. We still have a broad choice, though, and it's easy to find something for everyone: locally-brewed and beers and international brands, "pub grub" and Michelin-starred hâute cuisine.
