Baptist Church, High Street, Chipping Campden (click for more)

Services Sunday 10:30am (with Junior Church and Creche)at Chipping Campden School, Cidermill Lane, Chipping Campden and 6:30pm at the church in the High Street. We are a lively family church with a warm welcome for visitors in the centre of Chipping Campden, just off the Square. We run regular Alpha courses to explore faith and various activities for all age groups, including children.


Broadway and District Cancer Support Group (click for more)

Meets on 1st Thursday of each from 3-4pm in Signpost Offices, 4 Russell Square, off the High Street. Feel free to drop in. This is a new group formed in March 2006 to provide support for cancer sufferers/survivors, carers, and family members; providing an opportunity for encouragement, information and fellowship. Broadway and District Memory Cafe (click for more)

Signpost with the Alzheimers Society are running a monthly memory cafe for people with memory problems to attend with their family, friends, or carers in Broadway and District, at

Methodist Church Hall, High Street Broadway WR12 7AJ from 10am to 12pm, every third Thursdsay of the month, starting 17 September 2009.

Wed. evenings term time 7:30-9pm at URC Hall. About 40 members sing in 4 part harmony, a varied programme. We give concerts locally twice a year. No auditions necessary. Subscription per half year is 10 pounds.

Meets 4th Wed. of the month 7:30pm at the Methodist Church Hall; to promote understanding and appreciation of the natural world in this locality. New members always welcome. Annual subs £10 or £2 per meeting.

Anyone is welcome, no experience needed. Support and admin. members as well as amateur performers are always needed. Meets at the Lifford Hall, twice weekly in 3 months preceding May/Nov performances.Prime objectives: have fun and contribute to village life.

Broadway Trust,The (click for more)

The Trust was founded in 1963 for the preservation and enhancement of the essential character of the village and its rural surroundings. Membership open to all who have these interests at heart. Broadway United Football Club (click for more)

Football and social club. Meets weekends, lunch/evenings at Milestone Ground, Childswickham Road, Broadway WR12 7HA. Membership available (including temporary) and venue available for hire.

All family, new members very welcome. The club offers Sky Sports TV(only place in the village), showing most live sporting events, a pool table, Dart Boards, Bingo nights and season quiz evenings. Broadway United Youth Football Club (click for more)
meets at Milestone Ground, Childswickham Road; provides football coaching by qualified coaches to children from 8-15 years. Six teams are entered into district football leagues and fixutres are arranged for every weekend from September to April.

Meets 3rd Wed 7:30pm at the Lifford Hall. To appreciate the making of wine, maturation, serving, differences between areas/approaches, etc. Generally there is a tasting fee each meeting. Broadway Youth Club (click for more)

Meets Broadway Youth Centre, adjacent to Broadway First School in Lime Tree Avenue.  Meets Tues. for ages 5-19 from 6-8pm, Thurs. for ages 5-19, from 6-8pm.  Also is a venue available for hire.
 


Campden and District Historical and Archaeological Society (click for more)

Meetings are held in Chipping Campden Town Hall at 8pm from September-April, usually 3rd Thursday of the month, with visits to places of historic or local interest in the summer.

 


Childswickham Evergreens (click for more)

Meets every other Wednesday, 2-4pm. A friendly get-together for the over 60's with a speaker once a month. 50p per session to include refreshments.


Childswickham Quilters (click for more)

Every Wednesday term time only, 10-12:30  All levels welcome to work on own projects or follow a programme and instruction. £3.50/week due at beginning of each term, payable in advance.

An exceptionally well maintained village hall for hire, refurbished with Heritage Lottery Funding. Includes hall with stage (seats 100), meeting room, snooker room, fully equipped kitchen, and ample parking.

We are affiliated to Worcester Federation and belond to the Avonvale Group. Our members come from Childswickham and Broadway, and meet for talks, outings and social activities, with visitors welcome at a cost of £3.

Cotswolds Conservation Board -North District Voluntary Wardens (click for more)

Work parties rebuild walls repair stiles, plant trees and help to maintain local landscape. Guided walks are arranged and footpaths are kept clear. Wardens meet at Lifford Hall quarterly.

Friends of St. Eadburgha's, The (click for more)

The Friends support the ongoing use of the church as a place of worship and contribute actively to its maintenance and related costs. The Friends also promote the use of the church for recitals and concerts. The AGM is held at the church in May. For girls aged 10-14. (Time/location not disclosed for safety reasons). It covers a variety fo activities outdoors and indoors, including sport, games, craft, cookery, and lots more. We also serve the local community as well as having holidays and camps.


Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway Plc (click for more)
a volunteer-run heritage railway that has reopened the closed railway line between Toddington and Cheltenham Racecourse railway stations in Gloucestershire. It is currently extending to Broadway, Worcestershire.
Gordon Russell Trust, The (click for more)

Gordon Russell Museum, Russell Square, High Street, Broadway, WR12 7AP Opening 1 Jan 2008; dedicated to the life and work of Gordon Russell and that of his company in the field of furniture and product design in the workshops based in Broadway


Grapevine Magazine (click for more)

The Grapevine Magazine promotes the Church of England parishes of St Michael and All Angels (Broadway) and St John the Baptist (Wickhamford). Over 500 copies are distributed in Broadway and Wickhamford. It is published monthly (except for January) and the last date for copy is the middle of the previous month.

St. Michael's Church is in Church Street;  1st Sunday Parish Communion 10:30am; 2nd Sunday Holy Communion 8am & 10:30am; 3rd Sunday  Mattins 9:30am & Family Communion 10.30am; 4th Sunday: Holy Communion 8am & 10:30am; 5th Sunday Parish Communion 10:30; Wednesdays Holy Communion 10:30am;
 At St. Eadburgha's Church, Snowshilll Rd, services are held at 6:00pm on Sundays from Easter (actually from 19 April in 2009) until the end of September.  Services may occasionally be altered.

Catholic Church. Weekday Masses T-Fri 10am; Holy Days of Obligation at 10 and 7pm (no vigil); Confessions with Exposition 17:30-18:00 Saturday, Mass 18:00; Sunday  Mass with Children's Liturgy 10:00am;

The Broadway Tourist Info. Centre will close from 23 December and  re-open on Monday 8 February at 10am.

 

From 1st November 2009, Broadway TIC will be closed on Sundays and will be open on weekdays and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.

Please note: The office will be closed from 23 December 2009 re-opening on Monday 8 February 2010 at 10am.

Worcestershire Wildlife Trust (click for more)

Since 1968 Worcestershire Wildlife Trust has worked to conserve, protect and restore the county's wildlife. Activiites include walks, talks, campaigns, education of young people, management of nature reserves. The Trust has a nature reserve in Broadway.
